Some more detail:

PRPI is a new institute in Puerto Rico and will be located on the Barceloneta campus of the Ana G. Mendez University System. The site is a 35 minute drive to the Arecibo Observatory and 30 minutes west of San Juan. As described in the ad, we are open to all applications in the fields of optics and photonics, although greater weight will be given to applicants in the fields of atmospheric remote sensing, especially lidar, and to aerospace photonics (laser gyroscopes and their applications).
